Professional Triathletes Bella Comerford and Stephen Bayliss combined forces this weekend when they official became Britian's husband and wife Ironcouple.
According to the Press Release: Britain’s Ironcouple Stephen Bayliss and Bella Comerford were married this past Saturday at 1:30pm in the beautiful grounds of Murrayshall House. The couple married in a civil service in front of family and friends. The pair, who first met in 2003 at the ITU World Long Distance Championships in Sweden and started dating a year later, have been inseparable for the past three years barely spending more than a few days apart at a time.
On their special day Bella Bayliss (as she is known both in her personal and sporting lives) commented; "Stephen and I are married now, we are so happy. It is just what we wanted, our wedding was perfect, we had both our families and so many of our friends with us. We had a perfect and beautiful ceremony, the day was bright, sunny and chilly so we should have some great photos! The meal was lovely and my Dad, Stephen, Stephen's brother Mark and his Dad John gave amazing, moving and entertaining speeches. We Ceilidh danced the night away and discoed till late! It all feels like a special fairytale."
Stephen added “It was a wonderful day. It was so much more special than I had even imagined. Bella looked beautiful in her dress, the ceremony was perfect. Then we spent the rest of the day catching up and having fun with lots of our friends and family.”
The couple are not heading off on honeymoon, but rather having a further week with their family before returning to their Swiss home and training base, and preparing for the next season.
