Every year about 1300 people jump on their bikes and race a steam train over two mountain passes from Durango to Silverton, Colorado.
This grueling race/ride is called the annual Iron Horse Bicycle Classic...an epic 50 mile bike race that pits a classic steam train against man across two high Colorado mountain passes.
So which one is faster....man or machine when the going gets very steep? We decided to find out this year. If you are curious about this classic bike race that Outside Magazines says belongs on every cyclist bucket list just watch this video as we race the train to Silverton.
