Trevor Wurtele of Canada won this year's shortened Ochsner Ironman 70.3 in New Orleans after high winds forced the cancellation of the swim portion of the race. Wurtele's won the race in a time of 3:23.51.
On the women's side American triathlete Sarah Piampiano crossed the finishline first in a winning time of 3:43.58. She won the race by 5 seconds ahead of second place finisher Heather Wurtele of Canada.
