(April 2) GALVESTON, TEX. - For decades, the "Got Milk" campaign has used celebrities to pitch the health attributes of milk. Now the milk industry is giving triathletes the all-star treatment with its REFUEL, Got Chocolate Milk promotion. This past weekend, three-time Ironman Champ Chris Lieto unveiled his new ad, which will appear in Sports Illustrated later this month at the Lonestar 70.3 Ironman in Galveston, Texas.
With this ad Lieto joins fellow Ironman Champion Mirinda Carfrae and NBA star Carmelo Anthony as pitchman for chocolate milk's recovery benefits and as he says helping him stay trim while maintaining his muscle strength. It's a partnership that should boost the sport's image in publications not usually known for their endurance sports coverage. Call it a win for triathlon.
EverymanTRI was there in Galveston, running with Lieto and shooting video of the intro. You can view the video:

Among the highlights: At age 40 Lieto claims he's leaner, recovering stronger and in the best shape of his career.
