The Court of Arbitration for Sport has suspended 1997 Tour de France winner Jan Ullrich for years for blood doping.
The court ruled that Ullrich was "fully engaged" in the doping program of Spanish doctor Eufemiano Fuentes that was exposed in the 2006 Operation Puerto probe.

According to ABC News:
"Ullrich's suspension comes three days after CAS banned Alberto Contador for two years and stripped him of his 2010 Tour title for doping. A U.S. federal investigation into alleged doping involving seven-time Tour winner Lance Armstrong and his teammates was dropped Friday.
Ullrich is banned from cycling through August 21, 2013, and all his results from May 1, 2005, until his retirment are annulled. Ullrich must also pay $10,970 toward the International Cycling Union's legal costs.
Ullrich will also be stripped of his victory in the 2006 Tour de Suisse."
