According to USA Triathlon, "After dealing with injury for much of last year, Groff's breakthrough season continued last weekend as she placed seventh at the International Triathlon Union World Championship Series event in London to qualify for the 2012 U.S. Olympic Triathlon Team.

It marked her third top-seven finish on the 2011 WCS circuit and moved her into sixth in the WCS rankings. A long-time member of the USA Triathlon National Team, Groff placed third at the 2011 WCS event in Austria on June 19 to mark the first-ever podium finish for an American female in the event.
A two-time Olympic silver medalist and three-time world champion in the 200 meters, Felix will be looking to make her third Olympic appearance in London and is currently preparing for the upcoming 2011 IAAF World Championships, which run from Aug. 27-Sept. 4 in Daegu, Korea.
She became the first-ever sprinter to win U.S. titles in the women's 100, 200 and 400 with her 400 victory at the 2011 USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. A three-time world outdoor 200 champion, she will run both the 200 and 400 at the world championships and is considering pursuing the 200/400 double in London."
