In only her second Ironman, Boulder, Colorado based Julie Dibens proved that she's a force to be dealt with at the IM distance by winning Ironman Coeur D'Alene today in a record time of 9:16:40.
Dibens, despite some difficulty on the run, lead from start to finish with a 52:36 swim and a 4:52:18 bike and a 3:27:09 marathon. It was her 4:52:18 bike split that set a new IMCD bike course record, and gave her the significant lead to finish the race in first place.
Rounding out the podium was American triathathlete Caitlin Snow who finished in 9:29:18, followed by Haley Cooper-Scott in 9:56:21.
