After a tough start to the IM race season former two-time Ironman World Champion Craig Alexander proved once again today that he's the man to beat at any given Ironman race by winning Ionman Coeur d’Alene in a new new course record time of 8:19:48.
The Australian triathlete won the race with a 50:46 swim, 4:38:44 bike and a beyond speedy 2:46:54 marathon run.
In second place was Maik Twelsiek who crossed the line in 8:24:59, and the process set a new IMCD bike record.
Rounding out the podium was Canadian, Tom Evans, who crossed the finish line in Coeur d’Alene in a total time of 8:49:54.
