There has been a significant break in the David Zabriskie burglary case.
Police in Salt Lake city have found Zabriskie's stolen Scion and arrest one man in connection with the crime.
As you may recall Zabriskie was racing at the Amgen Tour of California to a second place finish with the Garmin-Slipstream team, when thieves broke into his house and stole everything he owned.
According to KLS.com:
"Tuesday night, metro gang officers were in this South Salt Lake neighborhood. They were looking for a fugitive in an unrelated case when they saw Zabriskie's Toyota Scion parked outside a house. Officers then saw Arthur Roll walk out of the house and get in to the car a couple of times.
Roll had the keys to the stolen car, but when officers searched the home they didn't find any of Zabriskie's stolen property. Still, they say Roll's arrest is a break in the case.
"A lot of times in stolen vehicle cases, burglary cases when a vehicle is taken, you can recover the vehicle, but you don't actually find somebody that's linked to the vehicle. So in this case, we've at least got a lead to work," said Sgt. Robin Snyder, spokeswoman for the Salt Lake Police Department.
Roll's arrest last night was his second that day. When officers saw him with Zabriskie's stolen car, he had only been out of jail for several hours."
