Levi Leipheimer discovers broken sacrum and drops out of Paris Nice

The Amgen Tour of California winner, Levi Leipheimer, fractured his sacrum when he crashed with Lance Armstrong in Stage 3 of the AToC, and now will have to drop out of the 67th Paris Nice bike race which is scheduled for March 8th to the 15th.

According to Leipheimer's Twitter page: "Looks like I fractured my sacrum in that stage 3 crash, was wondering why the pain wouldn't go away! It's not bad but no Paris Nice for me."

Two Aussies take top titles at Ironman Malaysia

It was an all Aussie podium at Ironman Malaysia today as Luke McKenzie and Belinda Granger won the top spots on the podium.

“I’m so ecstatic,” McKenzie said of his win. “I had the best race today. He (Rhodes) was just sitting that minute behind for the first 21 km. I kept wondering if he had it, if he was just waiting to reel me in the last half.”

According to Sports Illustrated:

"Seven-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong has allowed photographer Elizabeth Kreutz special access in his comeback tour. Here are some of her shots from workouts in Austin and at the recently completed Tour of California."

You don't need feet or legs to swim if you're a mermaid

Nadya Vessey was born without the ability to swim well.

She was born with a rare condition that meant that her legs would never develop so by the time she was 16 both of her legs were amputated.

Forward to today and Vessey is in her fifties and swimming just like a mermaid. In fact she could be a mermaid. The New Zealand based Oscar winning Weta Workshop, which was also behind the stunning visuals in 'The Chronicles of Narnia' and 'King Kong', created a working mermaid tail for her so she could swim.

Police find Zabriskie's stolen car and arrest one suspect

There has been a significant break in the David Zabriskie burglary case.

Police in Salt Lake city have found Zabriskie's stolen Scion and arrest one man in connection with the crime.

As you may recall Zabriskie was racing at the Amgen Tour of California to a second place finish with the Garmin-Slipstream team, when thieves broke into his house and stole everything he owned.

Dara Torres to swim again

Dara Torres isn't ready to hang up her Speedo quite yet. In fact she's far from retiring.

The 41-year-old Beijing Olympics star is set to compete at the Austin Grand Prix on March 5-7 in Texas.
