Earlier this month, on January 17th, Sheila Taormina was one of the first triathletes to be inducted into the USA Triathlon Hall of Fame in Colorado Springs.
Why?

She’s an Olympic swimmer.

She’s an Olympic triathlete.
She’s an Olympic equestrian.
She’s an Olympic marksman.
She’s an Olympic fencing champ.
She’s Sheila Taormina, the first female athlete in history to qualify for four Olympics in three different sports.

At the 1996 Summer Olympics, Taormina earned a gold medal as a member of the winning women's 4x200 meter freestyle relay team.
At the 2000 Summer Olympics. She took sixth place in the Olympic Triathlon.
In 2004, Taormina won the ITU World Triathlon Championship title.
In the 2004 Summer Olympics, Taormina again competed in the triathlon and finished in twenty-third place.
Last month she competed in her forth Olympics in Modern Pentathlon and set a new historic record.
