Over the next few days, as the year draws to a close, we'll feature the most interesting and entertaining interviews with the athletes that made news this year. Today we begin with someone who has done it all in the world of endurance sports, and in the process made history at this year's Olympic games.
She’s an Olympic swimmer.

She’s Sheila Taormina, the first female athlete in history to qualify for four Olympics in three different sports.
At the 1996 Summer Olympics, Taormina earned a gold medal as a member of the winning women's 4x200 meter freestyle relay team.

At the 2000 Summer Olympics. She took sixth place in the Olympic Triathlon.
In 2004, Taormina won the ITU World Triathlon Championship title.
In the 2004 Summer Olympics, Taormina again competed in the triathlon and finished in twenty-third place.
Last month she competed in her forth Olympics in Modern Pentathlon and set a new historic record.
