Professional Boulder, CO based triathlete Matty Reed's Kona home was robbed while the Ironman World Championship finisher and former Olympian was out to dinner on Sunday.
"While at dinner our house got robbed. They took everything. And I mean everything," Reed tweeted a few hours ago.
"House here in kona idea is officially a crime scene. Hawaiian police everywhere. They took everything. Robbed blind. Computers phone ipads even lachey homework and backpack," he added.
Reed finished the Ironman World Championships is 28th place this weekend in a time of 8 hours and 50 minutes.
To add insult to injury the robbers even stole Reed's new shoes.
"They took all my shoes Had 6 pairs of brand new shoes."
We had a chance to catch-up with Reed earlier this summer in Boulder before he left for Kona.
