In a surprise announcement this week British singer and pop icon Amy Winehouse has announced that she plans to race Titaniumman this summer a new Ultra distance race scheduled for August 31st of the year.
"I've traded all of my cigarettes for running shoes," Winehouse said referring to her battle with addiction..."that is after I smoke this last one," she added.
The new Titanium man will consist of a swim across the English Channel followed by a bike race from London to Dunrunyetnot (a small Scottish town near Edinburgh followed by a run to Ballindalloch the home of the famous Scottish distillery Glenlivet.
"I plan to celebrate finishing the race with with a big bottle of Glenlivet," Winehouse said. "In fact I've already started celebrating."
In a move to show how serious Winehouse is about the race, the singer has changed her name to just one word.
"Please call me Fasthouse," from now on she added as she ran out the door for another interview.
