Who says that skiing is safer than cycling...probably not Bob Roll.
Long time cyclist, Versus.com color commentator, and Colorado resident Bob Roll is in the hospital after a weekend skiing accident left him with a broken femur and three broken ribs.
According to the Road ID web site:
" Just chatted with Bob Roll about his ski crash on Saturday where broke his femur (!!) and 3 ribs. He's still in the hospital. During the call Bob was in good spirits but still in pain...obviously. He has had a steel rod inserted in his femur and expects to be in the hospital for a few more days.
If all goes as he hopes...he will be well enough to commentate Paris-Nice in March. Fingers crossed.
