Just over one month...that's how long British Comedian Eddie Izzard trained to run 33 consecutive marathons.
Izzard, a well know British stand-up comedian and actor now ultra-marathon runner, has just finished his 10th marathon in 11 days of running in his run to reach his goal.
He runs about 30 miles a day for six days a week and he eagerly admits that he's slightly crazy.
"I think running is very primal. We used to hunt in this way. Anyone should be able to do this, it’s not actually that complicated. It’s a marathon a day and that’s probably what people used to run and hunt something," Izzard said.
When asked about his nutrition plan he added, "I just do the same thing at the end. I just sort of spear a Twix and have a Diet Coke, it’s that kind of thing."
Of course Izzard is paying the price for his somewhat hazardous decision to run 1000 miles.
“But it is slightly crazy and my feet are slightly disintegrating. But I’ll make it because I’m determined...My body isn’t really determined, but my brain is," he said.
Izzard is running for the British charity Sports Relief and you can follow him on Twitter as he runs around England
