Tour de France 2009 stage 13 results and standings 195km breakaway succeeds and Heinrich Haussler wins

In what turned out to to a pretty wet and dangerous stage 13 it was Australian-born German Heinrich Haussler (team Cervélo TestTeam) who managed to stay away from the field for 195km over the 200km stage and cross the finish line by himself and in first place.

Rinaldo Nocentini (team Ag2r) finished crossed the line finish line with the rest of the leaders nearly seven minutes behind Haussler, but he had done enough to retain the yellow jersey for yet another day.

Sylvain Chavanel (team Quick Step) and Ruben Perez Moreno (team Euskaltel-Euskadi) were also in the early breakaway but wee dropped by Haussler in the rainly and dangerous assents and climbs of the day's stage.

Lance Armstrong stayed in third and Alberto Contador is still in second just six seconds behind the yellow jersey.
