In this video Armstrong is being interviewed by his former wife just before running the Boston marathon.
They both look like they'd rather be sitting in a box of hungry of cats with a tuna fish in their pants.

My friend's name is Jerry. We've known each other for many years. We lived next door to each other, had kids together, played golf together and went on vacations together. He first introduced me to the sport of triathlon although I didn't actively participate until several years later.

Earlier this week we reported that President-elect Barack Obama and his wife Michelle are very serious about their health and fitness.

Not happy with the quality and quantity of today's live Ironman coverage Tempe, Arizona?
No need to despair.

Josef Major will be back in Tempe today to defend his Ironman Arizona crown from earlier in the year while on the women's side Erika Csomor, has been forced to withdraw due to illness.
Ironman Arizona will be contested for a second time in 2008 because the race was moved from April to November this year.
Some of the reasons for the change include avoiding the gusty winds and hot weather that have challenged athletes in the first three years of the race and scheduling issues. The event will be held the weekend before Thanksgiving in future years.
I was speaking with Simon Lessing yesterday at the athletes dinner, and he asked me if I was nervous about racing my fourth Ironman this weekend.
I said no.
He quickly replied, we'll, "Well you should be!"
He went on to explain that being nervous is good because it brings out the best in an athlete. Your drive to compete, and win is at its highest with a bit of nervous tension before a big race.
John Howard has pretty much done it all it and then some.
He represented the United States at the 1968, '72 and '76 Olympic Games in road cycling. He won the Ironman Hawaii triathlon in 1981 and placed second at the inaugural Race Across America in 1982.
He also set the cycling speed record at the Bonneville Salt Flats at 152 mph.

It was 17 years ago that Mike Reilly uttered those famous words that every triathlete longs to hear.
To hear Mike Reilly tell the story it was a simple on the spot improvisation. He added the phrase:
"YOU are an Ironman," as an added way to congratulate the race finisher.
“I said it simply like, ‘Buddy, you did it.’ But the look on his face, the crowd’s reaction, I thought, ‘I’m going to call the next guy an Ironman.’ ”

Earlier today we reported that North American Sports (NAS) could be in the process of being acquired by Providence Equity Partners, the private invest fund that recently purchased the World Triathlon Corporation (WTC).
"Change is coming," said Graham Fraser the President of North American Sports this evening when asked about the potential acquisition. "Let's just say that there is a meeting in Boulder on Tuesday," he added.
