Have you ever wondered what the professionals are doing?
Well, wonder no longer.
Here's a brief list of some of the personal blogs and exploits of the fast and the famous in endurance sports.
Natalie Coughlin has been busy live well in Hawaii. She writes:
"This past weekend was simply incredible. Ethan and I were invited to participate in American Express Publishing’s Food and Wine Paradise in Kapolei, Hawaii. It
was a showcase of some of the best chefs and vintners from Hawaii,
California, and one Texan. The event not only helped make connections
for both chefs and vineyards, but it also raised money for the Oahu
Rotary Foundation. Good food and I get to go to Hawaii? And it goes to a good cause?!? I couldn’t have been more excited. And
to top it off, a very generous woman from the Oahu Rotary Foundation
offered to let Ethan and I use her beautiful three-bedroom condo
situated on one of the property’s many lagoons."
Craig Alexander gave a great acceptance speech in Hawaii, but very few people saw it as they all left the Ironman Championship Awards ceremony early because of the driving rain. But don't worry, we found a video of the night's events for you ;-)
Lance Armstrong is now on Twitter.
Bella Comerford is relaxing and is, "over the moon with my 7th place," at Kona
Chuckie V writes that, "You're not so slow: I can tell you right now that if you think you're slow, you are wrong! You are simply unfit. Yep, the truth hurts."
Stephen Bayliss was hoping for better but he gave it what he had at the Ironman World Championships.
He writes:
"Warming up for the swim start there was a Turtle swimming in front of the start line close to the surface, I was a little worried for his safety but am sure he moved out of the way. I had a good start and was behind Potts and Sanson but could not stay with them so had to move across to the main group and stayed in the midst of that till the end and came out in 9th a fine start."
Chris McDonald is leaving Boulder, Colorado to get ready for Ironman Arizona is Tucson.
Michael Lovato filed a race report from his 10th place finish in Kona and then his iPhone died in the same driving storm that spoiled Alexander's acceptance speech.
Amanda Lovato posted a video of her kayak trip in Kauia.
Gordo Byrn has been doing a lot of thinking and writing about Ethics, Incentives and Enforcement.
